Colombian singer Shakira is all excited about starting a new chapter in her life after breaking up with football star Gerard Piqué.

The Grammy winner shared a post on Instagram saying goodbye to the place where she stayed with her former partner and two sons -- Milan and Sasha.

She wrote in the caption that she established herself in Barcelona, Spain to give her kids "stability." She noted that it's the same one they are now looking for in "another corner of the world alongside my family, friends and the sea."

She shared that they starting a "new chapter in search of their happiness."

Shakira thanked everyone that surfed with her in the Barcelona waves. She called it the city in which she "learned that friendship is longer than love." She thanked everyone that helped her, dried her tears, "inspired me and made me grow." She also thanked all her Spanish fans who gave her "their loyalty and love." For her fans, it's "only a see you later and like my father said many times, we'll see you on the curves."

According to Deadline, she is said to be eyeing moving back to Miami, Florida with her sons. This comes after her former partner reportedly cheated on her. Piqué is now publicly dating a woman named Clara Chía.

The Instagram post about her relocation comes as Shakira and her kids were clicked catching a flight out of Barcelona a few days ago.

Shakira and Pique announced their split in June 2022 in a joint statement saying that they were separating, as per Harper's Bazaar.

Soon after the announcement, they reached a custody agreement. Shakira later opened up about the separation in an interview, and called the breakup "the darkest hour of my life."

She also shared that she had put her career in music on the back burner to support Piqué when he was with FC Barcelona.

Now, she has relocated for the sake of her career and her family.

Shakira even collaborated with Bizarrap for "Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53" where she dissed her former partner.

The song, which has become a women's empowerment anthem, became a global hit.
