Just a month after releasing its all-new Lens feature, Snapchat is now bringing users another feature dubbed, "Speed Modifiers." The modifiers allow users the chance to add slow-motion, fast-forward, or rewind filters to their videos reports TheVerge. While they are pretty self explanatory, check out hwo the new Snapchat filters work below:

  • Slow-Motion – reduces the speed of your video so people can catch the little details, like a dog shaking off.
  • Fast-Forward – makes your video play faster, which is great for sight gags of people falling, like in the example up top.
  • Rewind – plays your video back at the same speed but in reverse, defying the laws of physics.

The new update also adds 3D Touch features for users with the newer iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, allowing users to quickly chat with contacts or add friends. To access the new features, simply record your video as normal, then swipe away until you reach the Speed Modifier function, which are small white characters of a snail for slow-mo, a rabbit for fast-forward and three arrows pointing backward for rewind.

As TechCrunch points out, the new video filters adds something more than layer the initial video. The video filters will give normal people with just their phones the same special effect superpowers as a professional video editor.
