Sofía Vergara Birthday: Actress Turns 44, Celebrates With Limoncello-Themed Party [PHOTOS]

Sofía Vergara might be getting older but she looks better than ever! The Colombian bombshell celebrated her 44th birthday on July 10, and she commemorated the occasion with an Italian and Limoncello-themed party in her house. Her son, Manolo González Vergara, made sure we all had a glimpse at the fabulous garden party with a few Instagram shots, but Sofía herself appointed someone on her team to make us feel part of the event by Snap-Chatting the whole night with a custom filter made especially for that day.

Manolo even wore a bright yellow lemon costume, which his mother eventually borrowed, complete with yellow hat. However, Vergara stunned not for the lemon getup, but for her curve-hugging two-piece black lace ensemble complete with chandelier earrings in yellow and orange tones that made the perfect accessory. She completed her look with soft waves pulled back in a messy, yet sophisticated bun.

Friends and family gathered to mark the actress’ special day, and enjoyed a delicious buffet, dessert table complete with a gorgeous birthday cake and a limoncello bar. Vergara had revealed to Extra that the party was a last-minute celebration, and that everything was very low-key, but based on the photos and videos, we can only say that we wished our low-key events were as fabulous as that one.

“I thought I was not going to be in town,” she had said before her big day. “I organized something really fast last week, so it’s just going to be, like, a dinner; it’s not going to be that big or that crazy, it’s just going to be simple, ‘cause I thought I really was going to be in New York.” Based on the pics and snaps, we can only assume everyone had a blast, including Sofía’s husband of eight months, Joe Manganiello, who posted a beautiful photo of the two of them on his Instagram account and captioned it “Feliz Cumpleaños para mi amor!” which means “Happy birthday to my love!”

Meanwhile, Sofía’s son took a more comedic approach while congratulating his mother on Instagram with a video about her age. “Happy birthday, Mom,” he said to the camera while Vergara was next to him and Joe Manganiello stood behind them. “I can’t believe you’re turning…” and before Manolo could say her age, Sofía breaks from her smile to stop him from revealing her age and pushes him to the side. Manolo then captioned the video “18. She’s turning 18. #HappyVerde.”
