Taylor Swift and Scooter Braun have been feuding for a while now, and it all started when the American entrepreneur and music manager bought the songstress’s former label company, Big Machine. The sale means that the 38-year-old executive will now own her masters — every album that she has ever recorded from “Taylor Swift” to “Reputation” albums.

This made Swift angry because apparently she doesn’t want her records to fall in the hands of Braun, who she said bullied her in the past. Rather than mending fences, the pair’s feud is getting bigger as their friends and other music stars have joined the fray by taking sides and publicly commenting on the issue via social media.

Now as the conflict escalates, one person is standing so close to Swift — his boyfriend, Joe Alwyn. He has been on his girlfriend’s side since she publicly aired her views about the sale of Big Machine and losing her records in the process. In her lengthy post on Tumblr, the singer said that she came to know of Braun’s acquisition of her old label from the news and then accused him of being a bully.

“Scooter has stripped me of my life’s work, that I wasn’t given an opportunity to buy,” Swift wrote on her blog. “Essentially, my musical legacy is about to lie in the hands of someone who tried to dismantle it and this is my worst-case scenario. This is what happens when you sign a deal at fifteen to someone for whom the term ‘loyalty’ is clearly just a contractual concept.”

According to the report, Alwyn has been the singer’s “rock” as she faces off with her enemies. A source told the publication that he has been giving her all-out support so she can get through the troubles with ease knowing that someone is rallying behind her.

“Taylor‘s loved ones have all rallied around her to support her through this battle, she’s not alone in this fight,” the source shared. “Her boyfriend Joe has been a total rock in all of this, he’s very supportive of her taking a stand, he’s got a strong backbone. Taylor has always been pretty fearless when it comes to speaking her truth but having such a solid healthy relationship makes her feel that much stronger.”

The source added that Swift is very grateful to Alwyn because the battle with Braun is so challenging, but everything is going well since he’s supporting her all the way. Although the events have been disheartening, it was said that the singer remained positive and decided to move forward.
