When "Teen Wolf" returns this year for its fifth season we may finally learn the identity of the mysterious Desert Wolf. Malia's (Shelley Hennig) alleged mother and Braden's (Meagan Tandy) nemesis is set to be one of the bigger mysteries of the coming season. In an interview with TV Line Hennig told the website that it is important for the character, Malia, to figure out who this Desert Wolf really is.

"One of the last things said in the last episode of Season 4 was about the Desert Wolf. As an actress, I read that and assumed it would be a part of this next season, I do think it's important for Malia to figure out who that is, and I think we do start to explore that. It's important to the character, so I hope we see a lot of that."

According to Movie Plot's website the main focus will primarily deal with identifying the Desert Wolf. We will also learn more about Deputy Jordan Perrish (Ryan Kelley) type of monster and see some more air time from the Argent's. Apparently Chris is still on the hunt for his were-jaguar sister Kate and will have help from Araya Calavera (Ivonne Coll).

Furthermore the series creator Jeff Davis previously promised that the issue will be addressed in the 10-episode season.

"We're definitely going to be working on that storyline next season," Davis informed Entertainment Weekly, following the season 4 finale.

We don't have an exact premiere date for season five but we know it will arrive June 2015. Until then check out these XX other juicy details.

1. On September 11, 2014, Holland Roden who plays Lydia Martin revealed that "you're going to have to tune in for season five to see if we're all coming back or not. That's just reality... It’s sort of a toss up of who is not coming back for season five, but somebody is not coming back."

2. As of now the main cast is listed as Tyler Posey as Scott McCall, Dylan O'Brien as Stiles Stilinski, Tyler Hoechlin as Derek Hale, Holland Roden as Lydia Martin, Shelley Hennig as Malia Tate, Arden Cho as Kira Yukimura and Dylan Sprayberry as Liam Dunbar.

3. Tyler Posey said of the season, "It's going to be badass. Like, it's another thing we haven't done before. I'm really excited. It's cool because I know nothing about the season, I only know one part of it. But it's so badass that I would watch the entire season just for this one part."

4. Jeff Davis teased that there will be more complex mythology.

5. Dylan Sprayberry who joined in season four as Liam disclosed to Hollywood Life that, "Liam will get a love interest next season". He also said Season five will see more of the friendship of Liam and Mason (Khylin Rhambo).

6. Sprayberry will be upgraded from a recurring cast member to a series regular for this season.

7. On February 10, 2015, Cody Christian was cast as Theo, "a lone wolf who is drawn to town in search of a pack. He’s described as athletic and charming yet covert, and while it may appear that the young adult is new to town, his past might suggest otherwise."

8. Two episode titles have been revealed. The first is "Creatures of the Night" written by Jeff Davis and directed by Russell Mulcahy. The next episode is titled "Conditional Terminal" but the director and writer is unknown.
