There is absolutely no doubt that fans can either build you or destroy you. Thanks to social media, celebrities now have to take criticism from all over the world on various platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat, to name a few.

Thalía, who is known to be very active on Instagram and is always promoting fan art on her page, was the latest victim of trolling, which basically means being a prick on the Internet because you can.

The 44-year-old actress received unpleasant comments over the weekend after she shared a photo of her recent photo shoot for the cover of Mexican magazine “Quién.” “Love this pic! It is ideal for our #sexythursday,” she wrote on the photo’s caption.

Unfortunately, some of her fans were not feeling the sexiness.

“She reminds me of Kris Jenner in this pic,” said klyviav. Another fan followed the Kardashian trend and mentioned he didn’t “like this Kim Kardashian look. Thalia used to be pretty just the way she is.”

While most of the people who joined the conversation focused on the fact that the “Amor a la Mexicana” performer looks way more beautiful when she is portrayed “au naturel,” perhaps the most shocking comment was the one made by edward.ac, who said “Too much Photoshop, she looks like Conchita Wurst without the beard.”

However, it was not all about hate. Thalía was also showered with love and support and was compared to other Latina beauties such as, Galilea Montijo and Eva Longoria.

“Wow, I wonder what is it that you do Thalía to stay young and look this beautiful,” wrote violeta1440. “There’s no doubt that love, and your work dedication are keeping you awesome. Congratulations.”
