'Titanfall 2' Release Date Rumors: Advertisement For Unannounced Title Shows Up At GameStop

Respawn Entertainment or EA have yet to come out and say a sequel to the 2014 shooter "Titanfall" is coming, but the evidence that the title exist continues to pile up.

The most recent news comes from retailer GameStop, which is advertising the unannounced title at its stores, suggesting an official announcement could be on the way. GameStop has started displaying "Titanfall 2" placeholder cases on its shelves, which they usually don't do until a game is announced.

"Titanfall 2" was confirmed about a year ago and this time around the shooter will likely see a multiplatform release, though specifics have not yet been divulged.

Lead writer Jesse Stern recently revealed to Forbes that "Titanfall 2" would include a single-player campaign. He also mentioned that a "Titanfall" TV series is in the works at Lionsgate TV.

Furthermore, earlier this month toy-maker MacFarlane accidentally revealed its toy line based on the "Titanfall" title would arrive later this year alongside the games sequel.
