The star ditched Hollywood and landed in Levisham, near Pickering, to film scenes for "Mission: Impossible 7" in the local vintage railway. The 58-year-old followed Covid protocol and had a black facemask covering his famous pearly smile, as he waved to locals before he entered the sets, News.com reported.

He was accompanied by Hayley Atwell, who he is rumored to be dating, a Fox News report said. A production insider had said that Cruise and Atwell, 38, started dating after meeting on the set of "Mission: Impossible 7" and added that the two hit it off from day one.

Reports of the couple dating had surfaced after a paparazzi picture of the pair holding hands at a screening in London was released in December. Atwell, 20 years junior to the "Top Gun" star became fond of Cruise while filming scenes in Rome and UK.

At the British village, Cruise, who is notorious for performing his own stunts, was seen leaping on top of a carriage for a brave stunt. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway, which has been used in several films and television programs, and passes through Levisham.

BBC reported that a local B&B owner had spotted the star while they were walking their dog and posted a picture of the actor on Facebook.

Cruise will reprise his role as spy Ethan Hunt in the new instalment of the Mission: Impossible franchise.

Earlier, during the shoot of the film, Cruise was in the news for shouting at the crew members who breached the Covid-19 protocol. “If I see you do it again, you’re f—ing gone,” Cruise yelled. “And if anyone in this crew does it, that’s it — and you too and you too. And you, don’t you ever f—ing do it again,” he was heard seething in an audio clip that made rounds earlier.

The film is scheduled to release in May 2022.
