Two women were injured by the NYPD after officers fired their weapons in an attempt to catch a suspect.

The controversial NYPD policy was struck down by a federal judge on Monday morning on the grounds that New York police violated the Fourth and Fourteenth Amendment rights of minorities in the city. More than 80 percent of those stopped under the program were either black or Hispanic, and about 90 percent were let go without being charged with a crime.
