Trump Mocked After Revealing US Has ‘Undetectable’ Planes ‘Flying Around’:

President Donald Trump boasted that the United States military has the best weapons in the world, including "undetectable" planes.

"We have the best military equipment in the world," Trump told press in the Oval Office on Wednesday. "We have planes that are undetectable, flying around. Nobody's able to see them. Stealth...These are incredible planes and weapons."

Online, users got the impression Trump was conflating radar-evading stealth technology with literal invisibility.

"He really does think they are invisible, like you can't see them. He has no understanding of radar," one user wrote on X.

Another joked, "Are the invisible planes in the room with us right now, sir?" — a sentiment echoed in several posts.

"I think one just flew past his head!" a user quipped.

"Can you imagine being the four-star Air Force general who has to gently explain this? 'Uh, well, actually, Mr. President, you can see the two-billion-dollar invisible plane,'" imagined one commenter. "He'd be fired before finishing the sentence."

Military experts were quick to note that while stealth aircraft like the F-35 and B-2 Spirit are designed to minimize detection by radar and infrared tracking, they are not literally invisible. In fact, the term "stealth" refers to a combination of shape, materials, and emissions control that reduce the aircraft's visibility to enemy detection systems — not to the human eye.

"Almost like it's the first he's ever heard of this technology," one post mused, with another wondering, "Why does nobody explain to him that stealth doesn't mean invisible?"

Others pointed out that stealth is compromised by bragging about it.

"Not stealth if you tell people about it, brainiac," noted one comment.

Trump's focus on military aircraft capabilities follows Israeli airstrikes on Iran. Israel claims Iran's nuclear weapon program has intensified, warranting attacks on nuclear development sites. Trump suggested U.S. involvement in a Truth Social post on Monday.

"We now have complete and total control of the skies over Iran," Trump wrote, proceeding to tout the superior quality of American-manufactured weaponry.

While the U.S. has signaled its preference to negotiate with Iran, Israel has not indicated any intention to cease strikes.
