A senior Trump administration official has accused Jill Biden of "elder abuse" following Joe Biden's aggressive cancer diagnosis, sparking calls on social media for potential criminal charges.

Shortly after Joe Biden's cancer diagnosis was made public, Leo Terrell, a senior counsel at the Department of Justice, took to social media to accuse Jill Biden of elder abuse, writing, "Elder abuse! Criminal charges??"

The post ignited a wave of commentary from conservative figures, including Donald Trump Jr., who also questioned whether Jill Biden knowingly withheld information about her husband's condition.

Joe Biden's office revealed Sunday that he had been diagnosed with advanced, hormone-sensitive prostate cancer that had metastasized to his bones. The announcement followed mounting speculation about Biden's physical and cognitive health, which had been a subject of concern throughout his 2024 re-election campaign.

The former president withdrew from the race last July following a widely criticized debate performance and later endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris, who ultimately lost to Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, the Biden family has not responded to Terrell's accusations. However, doctors have pointed out that prostate cancer can sometimes develop quickly or evade routine screenings, especially in older men.
