The competition of "Va Por Ti" heats up as the second gala was presented with loads of surprises and a twist nobody saw coming. Galilea Montijo, host of the Univision Sunday show, welcomed acclaimed singer Julión Alvarez as the guest judge for the week. The public, the captains and the contestants couldn't help but stand up and dance as he sang "Conozco Una Negra" on stage. El Dasa, Dulce María and Jencarlos had to make some tough decisions this week. Each round consisted of a theme and the captains had to choose one of the participants to take the stage to test out their singing chops. After singing in each round the judges would save two and send one to the danger zone where they would possibly face eviction from the show.

During the first round the task was to sing José José's "Lo Pasado, Pasado" in different genre's. Dulce María chose Danny Montejo which he performed to the rhythm of salsa, Jencarlos Canela chose Ricardo Rivera who used his voice to sing it in bolero form and El Dasa picked Arias Martin who gave it the rock and roll twist. At the end of the round, it was Arias that was in danger. The second round the singers had to prove themselves singing bachata. Jencarlos went with José Palacio, Dulce María with José Enrique and El Dasa picked Yesenia Hernandez, who was sent to the danger zone. The third round was in honor of the guest judge Mr. Alvarez. Jencarlos picked Virginia Stille, Dulce Maria picked Vivian Mitre and El Dasa picked Enrique Tello. It was Jencarlos choice that didn't pull through out of the round.

The fourth round had them sing "Tan Enamorados" from Ricardo Montaner with Michelle Lardiere from Dulce Maria's team in danger of leaving the competition. During the fifth round duets were formed and it Jencarlos' Espiridión Magaña who was in danger. For the sixth and final round, the singers sang with their team captains with Geissie Torres from Dulce Maria's team not meeting the standards imposed by the judges. To save themselves from being in danger of leaving, the singers in the danger zone had to sing a fragment of "Están Lloviendo Estrellas." The judges saved Virginia, Geissie, Paloma and Stephanie, while Aries, Espiridión and Michelle were sentenced. Now the public will have to decide who stays and who goes.
