Graduation is upon us!

We're just a week away from "The Vampire Diaries" season finale, but as the seniors at Mystic Falls High School gear up for the end of pre-college life, there are just too many other things worrying the town's vampires!

Spoiler Alert: Do not continue to read the following article if you've yet to watch "The Vampire Diaries" episode "The Walking Dead." Seriously, you've been warned, so don't be that guy who complains about spoilers in the comments because everyone hates that guy!

In the penultimate episode of the CW hit's fourth season, viewers unexpectedly said goodbye to a fan favorite, while welcoming back a few familiar faces. But is this death really going to stick? Here's what we know...

Bonnie Bennett (Kat Graham) is dead. Yes you've read that right, dead.

The fan favorite witch sacrificed herself to bring back her ex-boyfriend and Elena's (Nina Dobrev) little brother Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen).

The interesting twist of the episode is that she was able to bring down the veil so Bonnie is still around, however, as a ghost... for now. Sources have not commented on how much we'll see of Graham and McQueen next season, but it has been confirmed that Bonnie will end season 4 dead.

Even more scandalous events from last night's episode. Since Bonnie was able to drop the veil she brought back a ton of familiar faces good and evil. The beloved Alaric came back to have some bromantic moments with Damon (Ian Somerhalder), whom now has the cure. Lexi (Arielle Kebbel) also came back to give Stefan (Paul Wesley) some support and advice about a certain blonde vampire, Caroline (Candice Accola), replacing her in his life.

So what should we expect in the season 4 finale?

Reports are saying that Elena will finally make her choice between the two Salvatore brothers on this episode. She chose Stefan at the end of season 3, but her becoming a vampire and the sire bond she had with Damon changed things. E! Online revealed the following on Thursday:

"While we won't reveal which Salvatore brother our heroine chooses, we can assure you that she does in fact pick one. (No Kelly Taylor-esque 'I choose me' moment happening here!) As for the other brother, fret not as he'll have more than enough to deal with that not landing the girl (for now) will hardly register. Start prepping for one of the series' best twists ever, basically!"

Julie Plec also has teased Elena's choice in an interview. Stefan has been ready to leave Mystic Falls after graduation. The character has mentioned that more than once. However, Plec teased the following, according to Spoilers Guide:

"It all hinges on what, if any truth comes out of Elena and Elena's situation. Stefan has been pretty clear about being ready to move on. So the question is will he need to?"
