Puerto Rican singer Víctor Manuelle announced that his father, Víctor Manuel Ruiz, 68, died in Puerto Rico after living his last stage with Alzheimer. The singer works as a spokesperson for the Alzheimer Center, in San Juan, this disease according to statistics, is the fourth cause of death in Puerto Rico.

According to El Nuevo Dia, Don Víctor wasn't recognizing his loved ones and was fed through a gastric tube. Although at all times he was in the care of his family, in 2016, the "Sonero de la Juventud" singer confessed in a press conference to be satisfied because he knows that, as a son, he fulfilled his father, although always in his mind was the thorn that he could have done more.

"Today my hero fulfilled his mission with us on Earth. We go to heaven leaving a great lesson in life as a father, as a friend and as a great human being," the salsa singer wrote on his Instagram account sharing a picture of him and his father facing the horizon. "I want to thank my fans around the world for their messages of support in this moment of pain. To all my fellow artists and musicians who have shown me their solidarity and respect in this process. To my friends in the press, I can not help but be grateful for all their concern in the process of my father's Alzheimer's condition and all their solidarity in the projects to raise awareness about this disease."

Victor Manuelle fellow singer and friend Olga Tañón also took Instagram to send her condolences to the Ruiz family. "Brother, you are a great son just like your brothers! On behalf of our entire family, we offer our condolences for the loss of your greatest Hero," Olga wrote. "He took the satisfaction of having a beautiful family that was with him 24/7 with an immense LOVE! You have taken this wonderful campaign to raise awareness about Alzheimer's and you have done it as a gentleman! Thank you! Rest in peace! Don Víctor Manuelle Ruiz," she added.

As a way to immortalize the love, he has for his father, the singer-songwriter dedicated a song to Don Víctor.
