The voting results from the Top 12 Live Performances on "The Voice" Season 5 last night are in! It was a tense night for the coaches Cee Lo Green, Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine as they watched the results be revealed. To open the Top 12 Live Eliminations episode, Sara Bareilles performed her hit "Brave" with contestants Caroline Pennell, Tessanne Chin, Jacque Lee and Kat Robichaud. Team Cee Lo performed "Roam" by the B-52s. The male contestants on "The Voice" performed "We're An American Band" by Grand Funk Railroad. Team Adam performed "A Hard Day's Night" by the Beatles with his team.
Before the eliminations began each of the coaches said their peace about how they felt about not having a say in who moved on in the competition anymore. Tonight, the Top 10 were completed decided on by votes from the fans. Votes for the Top 9 were announced tonight while the 10th artist moving on to next week was decided on by a new "instant save" vote conducted in five minutes during the live show via Twitter. Adam said he was not happy about not having a say, Christina felt different. "I'm tired of being in the hot seat," said Xtina. Blake simply said: "Tuesdays are why I drink so much."
In other news, Cee Lo's numerous pets made an appearance including some past "The Voice" assistant coaches including "Perrfect" the cat and his bird "Lady." Adam proudly showed off his new puppy golden retriever. And the contestants talked about some things that people may not know about them. Carson teased the "instant save" throughout the night and read one tweet from a fan who said they were creating a Twitter account for their parent so they could vote, too.
