It has been five months since Meghan Markle gave birth to Archie Harrison, but it looks like she’s still having a hard time losing her pregnancy weight. Because of this, royal followers can’t help but compare her to Kate Middleton, who obviously finds it easy to lose those extra pounds after giving birth.

Meghan recently went on a royal tour in South Africa with Prince Harry. As photos of the Duchess of Sussex made the rounds online, royal followers were quick to notice that she’s still carrying the extra weight she gained from her pregnancy. Kate, on the other hand, is different. Despite having given birth three times already, she was able to shed baby weight in record time.

The Secret Is In Kate’s Genes!

Some royal followers believe that one factor that affects Meghan and Kate’s ability to shed pregnancy weight is their genes. Fans of Kate know that she has pretty good genes that almost everyone in their family has a slim body type. In contrast, Meghan naturally has a much wider frame, which has been evident since she started her career in Hollywood.

Kate Monitored Her Weight During Her Pregnancy

Another possible reason why Meghan seems to find it hard to lose her baby weight is that she didn’t monitor her weight gain as much as Kate did when she was pregnant. According to reports, Kate watched her figure throughout her third pregnancy, so she was able to control her weight gain while carrying Prince Louis.

Meghan, on the other hand, obviously gained considerable weight in the course of her pregnancy with Archie. Some royal followers also believe that it’s not that Meghan has not lost extra pounds since giving birth. But it could be that she has lost considerable weight already — it’s just that she has not been able to match Kate’s pace.

Meghan’s New Hairstyle Might Be Making Her Face Appear Bigger

There are also speculations that Meghan’s change of hairstyle has a lot to do with how people perceive her figure. In most of her public appearances since giving birth, she has rocked a sleek bun instead of her usual messy look, allegedly to hide her significant hair loss. This new hairstyle makes her face appear much bigger than before.
