Selena Gomez and Francia Raisa were best friends. In fact, the two celebrities were so close that the latter donated her kidney to the former to help cure her lupus.
But, just months after their operation, it was reported that the former best friends have stopped talking. A recent report revealed that, until today, Gomez and Raisa have not heard anything from each other.
Gomez, recently, dropped two new songs after a long hiatus from making music. In the past, Raisa was one of the first people who would promote Gomez’s songs on social media shortly after its release.
However, this week, Raisa has not said anything about Gomez’s two new tracks, “Look At Me Now” and “Lose You To Love Me.” The latter is, reportedly, about Gomez’s relationship with Justin Bieber.
Months ago, it was reported that Gomez and Raisa’s falling out started after the latter called out her best friend for her poor and unhealthy life choices. While she was still recovering from her transplant, the “Kill ‘Em With Kindness” star started drinking again.
“She cares about her and she loves her,” a source said at that time. “She told her that she was just really making some unhealthy choices and that she was concerned for her,” the insider added.
Unfortunately, Raisa’s concern didn’t sit well with the singer. Since then, the two have not spoken to each other. Gomez also checked herself into a rehab facility after she was photographed drinking alcohol at the Four Seasons Hotel in New York City.
Concerned fans were quick to question why the singer had been drinking at that time when she was still recovering from her transplant. But, during her interview with Elle, she said that no one has the right to meddle with her personal life. After all, she’s not hiding the fact that she had been drinking.
As of late, Gomez and Raisa have not directly addressed their alleged falling out in public. As such, it is possible that the claims of the unnamed sources are unfounded. It is, therefore, necessary to take the allegations with a grain of salt.
