BLACKPINK's Lisa is expected to release new music next month, according to reports.

During a recent episode of MBC's reality show Hangout with Yoo, host Yoo Jae-suk mentioned Lisa and the girl group Lovelyz would return in July while naming musicians. However, neither YG Entertainment nor Woollim Entertainment, the K-pop idols' respective agencies, have confirmed the releases.

Yoo highlighted the artists when discussing the "competitors" that the new boyband MSG Wannabe, who they created through his show, would face when marketing their music on South Korean music shows. He also noted previously announced upcoming releases by SF9, Taeyeon of Girls' Generation, and BTS.

"On July 9, BTS will be making a comeback. And more so, in July, we have Taeyeon, BLACKPINK's Lisa, SF9 and Lovelyz," said Yoo, as translated by Koreaboo .

YG Entertainment has yet to respond to the video, which has been on the air for more than four hours. The agency's most recent update to fans was a cryptic message stating that Lisa is busy and hard at work preparing everything.

The BLACKPINK member was supposed to make her solo debut this month, according to Harper's Bazaar Thailand in April, but it never happened. Instead, in a now-deleted series of tweets, French producer DJ Snake claimed to have worked on a duet with Lisa and claimed that the song was "done." However, YG Entertainment provided no further details and have remained silent since then, reports said.

Rosé, a BLACKPINK member, debuted as a solo artist earlier this year with the release of her first-ever single album, R, which included the songs "On the Ground" and "Gone." In a four-star review, NME's Rhian Daly called it "a no-frills testament that proves a powerful voice and good songwriting don't need to be big or ostentatious to shine."

Taeyeon's new track is set to be released next month, according to SM Entertainment. On the other hand, BTS will release a brand-new song on July 9 in conjunction with the release of their upcoming physical CD for their newest English-language single, "Butter."

Meanwhile, the agency is hard at work planning BLACKPINK's lavish fifth-year anniversary.
