Looks like 20th Century Fox is gearing up to show viewers a more in-depth look at Marvel's mutants with the forthcoming film "X-Men: The New Mutants." Director Josh Boone has recently teased his super-powered team of characters for the upcoming film.

The "New Mutant" team created by Chris Claremont and artist Bob McLeod in the '80s features one of the most diverse and dynamic team set-ups we have seen from any superhero movie out today. The team includes Cannonball (Samuel Guthrie), a mild-mannered Kentuckian; Karma (Xi'an Coy Manh) a 19-year-old Vietnamese girl; Mirage (Danielle Moonstar), a Native American from the Cheyenne tribe; Sunspot (Roberto da Costa), a young Brazilian man who gained superhuman strength; and Wolfsbane, (Rahne Sinclair) a lycanthropic Scottish girl. Plus add in Colossus’ teleporting sister Magik (Illyana Rasputin) and a techno-organic alien named Warlock and Fox has a pretty unique set of characters.

If Boone’s Instagram account is any indication, the New Mutants movie will feature all the characters mentioned above. Take a look at Boone’s recent Instagram posts below and make your own conclusion.

Furthermore, we have casting rumors for some of these characters. Back in March HitFix reported that "Game of Thrones'" Maisie Williams and "The Witch's" Anya Taylor-Joy were cast as Wolfsbane and Magik, while Alexandra Shipp will be reprising her role as Storm from "X-Men: Apocalypse."

Boone has been quite vocal with the films production via his social media accounts. Back in October, he tweeted that the first draft of the script was complete. Then last month he revealed on Instagram that the second draft for the film was finished.

"X-Men: The New Mutants" was announced back in May 2015, where the studio revealed Boone will be directing a film adaptation of the "New Mutants" comic series. The studio further announced that Lauren Shuler Donner and Simon Kinberg will be producing the film, while Boone and Knate Gwaltney are writing the script.
