Microsoft Reveals the Xbox One will support partial-download play. Xbox

Microsoft has revealed an extensive video walkthrough of the new Xbox One's dashboard today. The video takes you through the general UI and how to access your video games, apps and also shows off the new integration with live TV. The new video tour by Marc Whitten and Yusuf Mehdi is the most thorough and accurate representation of the general Xbox One user experience. The two show gamers how to navigate the home tab as well as how to save favorite content in the Pins area on the left-hand edge.

The new Xbox One's dashboard is visually no different than the Xbox 360 dashboard. Although the customization and personalization options offered for the Xbox One are impressive. Depending on who is signed in that is how the dashboard will be viewed, it automatically changes depending on the user. Also the new Kinect will detect who is in the room and adjust the screen tilts and pins accordingly. It is also worth noting that Microsoft and Xbox has linked almost everything to a user's account. It doesn't matter whose console you use as long as you sign into your account you can always feel like it's your Xbox One you're playing.

It's easy to switch between accounts when multiple players are simultaneously signed on. Just say the phrase "show my stuff" and the Xbox One will switch to that users customized dashboard. Switching between apps is also easier and more responsive. In the video Whitten calls out commands to switch between Hulu, Netflix, Live TV and Internet Explorer on the Xbox One and it handles the commands well with minimum lag. The video walkthrough also shows how notifications will be handled over live TV.

Gamers can be completely removed from the Xbox One dashboard experience but will be notified when some contacts via Skype or multiplayer request come up. It is easy to get rid of the request by saying you want to accept the invitation and the console will toss you right in or deny the request and keep watching your program. Check out the video for yourself below and let us know what you think? Does the dashboard walkthrough video show the console in a new light or are you still unconvinced the Xbox One is the right console for you?
