Looks like slimmer, sleeker and perhaps sexier Xbox One consoles will be arriving to stores sometime in 2016, reports Geek.

Microsoft Blogger Brad Sams reported that he has heard from internal sources that Microsoft is supposedly discussing a "lightweight Xbox One."

In his post on Petri Sams said, "I have heard from internal sources that the company is considering plans for a lightweight Xbox One that may only be for Windows store games and would compete with the Apple TV. But it’s not clear if these plans have been scrapped."

Back in August, a Chinese blog also reported that the company was working on a slimmer console but said it would release October. The rumor was shut down by Xbox head Phil Spencer that took to Twitter and simply said this rumor was "not real," but was referring to the release date and not the slim Xbox One console.

Furthermore, GameSpot reached out to Microsoft for a comment on this rumor to which they gave the standard "we do not comment on rumor or speculation" reply.
