Yasiel Puig has been a controversial player since arriving to LA, whether it be speeding tickets or other clubhouse controversies. Today he arrived late to practice and was scratched from lineup and replaced by Matt Kemp, who was activated off the disabled list. He arrived to the ballpark at 10:26 a.m. when they were already halfway through practice. He will not be playing in the Dodgers’ home opener.
When he walked off the field he was met by team executives. Apparently they gave him the bad news. Kemp was not originally in the starting lineup today but because of Puig’s tardiness now he is. Fans in the baseball world have different opinions on the Cuban 23 year old. Either you hate him or you love him! Some might thing he is passionate for the game and others think he is immature and his attitude could jeopardize his game in the future.
