One look at this mean Revozport MINI Targa Raze Coupe and Roadster and you're probably thinking German tuner. Dutch, perhaps? Italian? American? Japanese? No. Revozport is based in Zhuhai, China.
When it comes to quality engineering and automotive performance, China has a bad rep, if any at all. However, based on looks alone, it appears we have a winner. To celebrate its Asia ISO certification, Revozport has released new aero and performance components for the MINI Coupe and Roadster.
With the help of the TARGA Racing engineering team, the revamped Revozport MINI gets a power bump up to an impressive 250-hp. Work includes a bespoke ECU map, a race engineered titanium cat-back exhaust weighing only 5-kg, a carbon induction piper, a larger intercooler, and a pair of upgraded camshafts.
As for the exterior, the car is completely designed in-house by Revozport UK designers. In fact, wheel track is widened 15mm both front and rear. Exterior enhancements include a complete front bumper with integrated LED daytime running lights, a lightweight engine cover, a rear bumper with a stylized center exhaust, air scoops on the side skirt, a duckbill lip spoiler with an optional GT wing, and, finally, a complete carbon fiber roof panel a-la BMW M3.
Thanks to the extensive use of carbon fiber and Kevlar, the Revozport MINI in Coupe format saves up to about 30 kg.
A legitimate effort in performance engineering, the Chinese tuner cut little to no corners in engineering. Check out the images of the Revozport MINI Targa Raze below. Prices have yet to be announced.
