After spending all season serving as a beacon of hope on the sidelines for the oppressed, mercurial quarterback, Colin Kaepernick will finally get an opportunity to touch the field this Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.

Kaep spent the first five weeks languishing on the bench because of 49ers coach Chip Kelly electing to go with Blaine Gabbert over him at the QB position. Now, after a pedestrian start to the season for Gabbert, it appears that Kelly is ready to give his rambunctious quarterback a chance at redemption.

Kelly wasn't reticent in expressing his desires to rejuvenate his porous offense - which is dying for a spark - during his press conference this Tuesday afternoon with reporters.

While Kapernick's off-the-field moves have been widely scrutinized, there's no doubt about his prowess at the QB position. When he took the helm back in 2012, he proved he was more than capable of leading a team by taking the 49ers to a Super Bowl and a NFC Championship.

We can only wonder if Kaep still has the juice to carry a hapless San Francisco squad deficient in talent. Here's a reminder of how good Colin used to be and what we can hopefully expect this Sunday.
