Two Pakistani men have been accused of violently gang-raping an unfortunate nine-year-old boy and filming the heinous ordeal on camera in Khushub, Punjab, local police said.

The horrific incident reportedly took place a few days ago in the community of 22 Mb in Khushab, Punjab, Pakistan. The suspects allegedly kidnapped the underage boy and took him hostage, before taking turns to brutally gang-rape the minor. The assailants also reportedly filmed the gruesome and heinous ordeal on camera, GeoTV reported.

The boy was subsequently released by the abusers back to his parents. The reprehensible incident came to light after the victim's grandfather registered an official complaint with local law enforcement.

A medical examination confirmed that the boy had been raped, the police said. After authorities apprehended the suspects, a videotape of the ordeal was found in their possession. The suspects have been arrested and are being held with no bail, Newsline reported.

Sahil, a child safety group based in Pakistan, condemned the violence, claiming that approximately ten child abuse incidents are recorded every day in the country. According to the Pakistani Human Rights Commission, at least thirteen child abuse cases are documented each day in the middle eastern nation, with many more cases likely going unreported.

In a similar but unrelated incident, an orphaned minor girl was allegedly raped by her uncle and his brother in Kumbhariya, Gujarat.

The underage girl, 17, who lived with her paternal aunt and her husband was allegedly raped by her uncle's brother just two days before the Diwali Festival last year. The suspect, who hails from Jharkhand, had come to Surat in search of a job. When the minor narrated the ordeal to her aunt, the woman reportedly tried to hide it instead of taking the necessary actions against the accused, the Times of India reported.

Later, during the Holi celebration this year, the suspect allegedly raped the minor girl again. To make things worse, her aunt's husband allegedly also began sexually abusing the unfortunate orphan. The underage girl reportedly became pregnant from her uncle's rape.

After finding out about the pregnancy, the victim's aunt allegedly forced her to take a pill that triggered a miscarriage. Overwhelmed by the constant maltreatment, the victim finally sought help from her maternal relatives who brought the girl to the Puna Police Station to file a complaint against her three abusers.

“We have detained the two main accused and kept them in quarantine for the COVID-19 test. We will interrogate them once their reports come and get more information from them,” said RK Jala, Assistant Commissioner of Puna Police. The suspects are both daily wage laborers. Authorities have also booked the victim's aunt for concealing the persistent abuse and aborting a pregnancy.
