Adele is in no tearing hurry to drop new music, just because most of her contemporaries are. The 32-year-old singer put speculations about her coming up with something new to rest in a recent Instagram post, suggesting how 2020 has been a remarkable year for her, but she's got her priorities set.

“I’m going back to my cave now to be the (single) cat lady that I am! Peace out till next year,” Adele captioned the Instagram post, which went live earlier last week. The singer recently expressed her gratitude to the “Saturday Night Live” crew after last weekend (October 24) marked her appearance as the guest host of the uber-popular show.

Adele also addressed the buzz around why she was featured as the show’s host and not the musical guest (eventually taken over by H.E.R) and enthused to her audience that her album was still a work in progress. “My album’s not finished, and I’m also too scared to be both,” she said, adding, “I’d rather put on some wigs …have a glass of wine or six and just see what happens.”

In other news, Adele also quashed rumors about her love life and maintained that she’s single in the lengthy Instagram post – 'The “Single Cat Lady) reference' that she makes is in a way telling that everything that’s being written about her and Skepta is a pile of trash. The singer and rapper have been thick friends for long and were reportedly spotted spending a lot of time in London lately. While rumor mills believe that the two are already an item, Adele’s not in the mood to accept it in the slightest.

Adele’s relatively fresh from a divorce from Simon Konecki, her husband of seven years. She and Konecki are parents to Angelo, an 8-year-old boy while and Skepta has a 2-year-old daughter named River from his previous relationship.
