With over 25 albums in his discography, Alvaro Torres makes his comeback to the music scene with a new studio production titled "Otra Vida." Torres' upcoming album will include new songs as well as some of his greatest hits.
"The process of this album began four years ago," Torres told Latin Times. "It's a production that has taken some time due to my busy schedule," he added. In this album, fans of the Salvadoran singer and songwriter will find featuring by artists such as iconic salsa singers La India and Tito Rojas. "One of the ideas was to renew some of my old songs," he said, stating that his forthcoming album also has some urban influences and a song with his son Astro Torres.
Torres is promoting the album with a new version of his '80s classic "Alejate de Mi." "I decided to re-release this single that I recorded in Central America and which became an international hit," he told Latin Times. "It's worth it. The final result came out nice," he said, emphasizing that love is never going to go out of style. "I'm still the same romantic composer as always," he said.
One of the songs that is not included in the album is his No. 1 Billboard hit "Buenos Amigos" featuring the late Selena Quintanilla. However, Torres talked to us about the time he recored the hit single with the Queen of Tejano and described her as someone with a lovely personality. "She was very special, always laughing," he recalled. "When we recorded the song we battled a little bit to correct her accent," he added, remembering the "Como La Flor" songstress as a wonderful human being.
"Otra Vida" will be available April 22, but as of now, all of Torres' song's are available for download on all digital platforms. The singer from Usulutan, El Salvador is proud to announce his comeback by inviting everyone to purchase his new romantic production. "We can't let love die off," he said. "These songs teach us how to love."
