Tonight at 10pm ET the Anaheim Ducks will take on the Calgary Flames in an attempt to keep their impressive season start going with a victory over the Flames. Currently the Ducks are 4-1-0 having won four of their last five games. On October 2 the Ducks lost 6-1 in the season opener against Colorado. They were able to bounce back with an impressive 4 game victory. The Calgary Flames are looking to secure their fourth victory and continue their season opening point streak to six games.

On Sunday in a game against Ottawa the Ducks' Corey Perry scored twice grabbing a franchise-best 56-shots on goal and helping Anaheim snag a victory over Ottawa. Coach of the Ducks, Bruce Boudreau recently spoke with cbssports.com about his team's wins. "The more we can win at home the better it is. We've done okay in the first two games of this home stand. Let's see if the last three games can be the same way." The Ducks have the mental advantage over the flames, haven beaten Calgary 18 out of the last 19 times Anaheim has played them at home.

The last time Calgary won a regular season game in Anaheim was January 19, 2004. Flames' coach Bob Hartley recently spoke with sportingnews.com about his team's troubles on the road. Hartley said the road trip "is a huge challenge for us, five big games against great hockey clubs. I think it's going to say a lot about our team, and it's going to be a different challenge." The Flames enjoyed four days off prior to tonight's game against the Ducks.
