Apple today revealed iOS 8 at the Worldwide Developer Conference or WWDC. There are numerous upgrades coming to the new OS as well as new features including a new app called Health and tons of new features for Messages, Photos and more. Check out these 6 takeaways from iOS 8 at WWDC:

1. Messages has been thoroughly updated with better control of group chats letting users name their chats as well as remove people or yoursefl from group chats. There is a new Snapchat like feature that lets users send videos quickly and you can now add your voice to any text conversation.

2. Photos have now been updated letting users utilize an iCloud Photo Library. Now every photo and video you lives in iCloud making it that much easier to access all your pictures and videos. The photo editing tools have been revamped with tons of new features including smart composition tools which allow you to automatically straighten horizons and provide the ideal crop. There is also Smart Adjustments which allows users to fix lighting, color and more with a single control. There is also a new camera mode called Time-Lapse video which allows users to capture things like a setting sun, a bustling city or a blooming flower.

3. Family Sharing makes it easy for up to six people in your family to share each other’s iTunes, iBooks, and App Store purchases. This means whenever one person buys a new song, movie, app or whatever, everybody gets to share.

4. There is a new native app coming in iOS 8 called Health which gives you an easy-to-read dashboard of your health and fitness information. Users can see their whole health picture, see a list of the different types of data being managed by Health and more! Your health and fitness apps will also soon work even harder for you in conjunction with the Health app.

5. With iOS 8 the iPad, iPhone and Mac interact like never before. iPad and Mac's can now answer phone calls as well as send any kind of message beside iMessages. The iPad can now connect to your phone’s personal hotspot when your iPhone is close by. And now you can pick up wherever you left off on any device as all will be intertwined.

6. iOS 8 will arrive this fall for iPhone 4s, 5, 5c and 5s as well as the fifth generation iPod touch. It will also come to the iPad 2, iPad with Retina display, iPad Air, mini and mini with Retina.
