Australian Man Wins $1 Million Lotto While Walking His Dog

After receiving word that they had won $1 million in a Lotto draw, a Sutherland Shire couple said there was no way they're getting divorced.

In Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4092, drawn Monday Jul. 5 2021, the winner from New South Wales had the lone division one winning entry. The person won $1 million.

When a lottery official called the winner, he was on his way home from taking his dog for a walk, utterly unaware that he had become an overnight millionaire.

"I have been receiving a lot of nuisance calls lately. I hoped this isn't another one of those," he said in The Lott report.

When the winner's victory was verified, he described himself as "shell-shocked."

"I just sent a photo to my family of the win and they can't believe it either," he said.

He speculated that the children are already making wish lists.

When asked how he meant to spend his reward, the Sydney resident stated that he wanted to be practical and seek financial guidance.

He stated that he requires more time to properly prepare his actions.

"I need time to really plan what I am going to do," he said.

"I want to get some financial advice first, so I make the right decisions," he added.

He stated that his wife wishes to renovate the property while traveling abroad in the future.

But for the time being, the winner stated he might go fishing in Australia.

The winning System 8 QuickPick ticket was purchased on thelott.com, Australia's official lottery website.

On Monday, July 5, the winning numbers in Monday and Wednesday Lotto draw 4092 were 7, 34, 22, 44, 15 and 19, with 17 and 4 as supplementary numbers.

There was only one division, one winning entry from across Australia in Monday and Wednesday Lotto draw 4092, which was the entry from New South Wales.

So far this calendar year, the Lott has won 226 division one prizes, with 58 of them going to NSW Lotteries customers.
