Some guys like to propose to their girlfriends in dramatic and theatric ways.

Depending on what the other party is into, a big and elaborate way of proposing may or may not be the way to go since some ladies like to keep a major moment like that somewhat private.

At a recent New Britain Rock Cats baseball game - a minor league affiliate of the Minnesota Twins - a young man was given the opportunity to propose to his girlfriend during a break between innings.

Dropping down to one knee after the on-field public address announcer gave him the stage, the man named David asked his partner Jessica for her hand in marriage. Looking stunned at the sudden proposal as fans and players looked on ever so intently, Jessica responded with a no and shortly after ran into a nearby tunnel.

David followed her into the hallway and the video ended, leaving David without a fiancée and Jessica probably feeling somewhat embarrassed at the whole episode.

The PA announcer was left stunned as well, proclaiming through the microphone that nothing like this has ever happened at a Rock Cats baseball game.

Hopefully things work out between these two and David gets another chance in the near future.
