Border agents say the rescued a migrant stuck at the top of the border wall after being abandoned there by smugglers.

"Smugglers don't care if you make it. They only care if you pay," said Border Patrol's El Paso Sector interim director Walter Slosar in a social media publication, according to Border Report.

The incident took place during the weekend near Fabens, Texas, after agents spotted the man and called the San Elizario Fire Department and medics.

The man, a Mexican national, was unharmed. He and others in the group will be charged and processed for removal.

Episodes of the kind have taken place this year. In June, three migrants were taken down from the border fence after getting stuck while attempting to cross.

The men were found near San Diego's Otay Mesa Port of Entry. They had tried to scale the fence using a carpet to cover the concertina fence at the top of the wall, but ended up stranded at the top unable to climb down.

After being spotted by border agents, the San Diego Fire Department arrived and helped the migrants down. They were taken into custody and to a Border Patrol station for processing.
