White House border czar Tom Homan taunted Democratic NYC candidate Zohran Mamdani over his campaign vow to "kick fascist ICE" out the city, telling him "good luck with that."
"Game on," Homan added in an interview on Fox Business' "Kudlow." "We're going to be in New York City, matter of fact, because it's a sanctuary city and President Trump made it clear a week and a half ago, we're going to double down and triple down on sanctuary cities."
Homan went on to say that immigration enforcement will be focused in "sanctuary cities because we know they're releasing public safety threats and national security threats back to the street, so we know we've got a problem there."
The official added that since forces "don't have that problem in Florida, where the sheriffs work with us," he will give the order to "double up and triple up on New York." "Not only are we going to send more agents to the neighborhood, we are going to increase worksite enforcement tenfold."
The warning comes as Homan repeatedly clashes with high-profile Democratic leaders, most recently with New York Gov. Kathy Hochul and Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker, who dared him to arrest them for resisting federal enforcement.
Hochul responded to Homan's threat by saying, "If Tom Homan comes to Albany to arrest me, I'll say go for it." Pritzker echoed the sentiment, stating he would "stand in the way of Tom Homan going after people who don't deserve to be frightened in their communities."
Homan previously floated the idea of arresting officials who obstruct immigration enforcement or shield undocumented residents. Calls for such arrests escalated after Trump recently suggested California Gov. Gavin Newsom be detained amid protests in Los Angeles.
