Legendary Brazilian footballer Ronaldo Nazario has announced his engagement with his long-time girlfriend, model Celina Locks, on Thursday as the two move to have the ceremony together by June.
The two announced the engagement on Instagram writing, “I love you” messages to each other as Locks flashed the engagement ring in a couple of happy pictures with the 46-year-old retired player, according to the Mirror.
“Yes I do,” she said in the Instagram post. “I love you forever @ronaldo.”
The two have reportedly were vacationing in the Dominican Republic when Nazario popped the question. The couple has been dating for over seven years, and their wedding is set to happen in the month of June, though an exact date has yet to declared, Sports Brief reported.
Locks, who is 32 years old and over 14 years Ronaldo’s junior, is set to be his third wife. He was married to his first wife, Milene Domingues, for four years until they ended their marriage in September 2003, though he reportedly did not finalize his divorce by 2005 when he was set to marry model Daniella Cicarelli.
The two separated before their marriage became official, and he ended up marrying Maria Beatriz Antony, staying with her for seven years having two daughters. He has one child with Domingues, and another with waitress Michele Umezu, which prompted him to get a vasectomy afterwards.
After his marriage with Antony ended, he and Locks got together, and have been steadily dating for seven years. Beyond being a model, she works as a businesswoman and beauty entrepreneur, releasing a perfume line last year that she advertised with claims that she might be pregnant with Nazario's child.
The footballer, who played with Milan and Real Madrid, currently works as the President of LaLiga side Valladolid. The two do not appear to have plans to have children, though Nazario claimed that he has sperm kept away in a safe place just in case.
