After it was announced in early June that former manager Jose Mourinho would be returning to Chelsea after only 3 seasons in Spain, Real Madrid's goal was to find their next head man in quick fashion. 22 days after Mourinho made his departure official, Madrid introduced former Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti as their new leader. Ancelotti will now look to build on Madrid's 2012-2013 season that saw them advance to the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League where they fell to Borussia Dortmund.

"Carlo Michelangelo Ancelotti will coach Real Madrid next season," a statement from Real Madrid said. "The Italian has experienced success in every country where he has managed and arrives in the Spanish capital after being named coach of the season in France."

Along with Ancelotti comes a stellar track record. Recently named the Coach of the Year in the French League after guiding PSG to the Ligue 1 title, Ancelotti propelled himself to top coaching recognition. Spending time on the sideline of prominent teams Juventus, AC Milan, Chelsea, Reggiana and Parma in addition to PSG and now Real Madrid, the 54-year-old native of Reggiolo, Italy led many teams to league titles and cups since beginning his senior coaching career with Reggiana in 1995.

Ancelotti led Milan to Champions League titles in 2003 and 2007 while also guiding the club to European Super Cups the same seasons. Winning the 2010 Premier League title and English Super Cup with Chelsea, Ancelotti showed the ability to win on multiple levels and bring home some of the highest ranking hardware in the game. Taking over a Real Madrid team with superstars in Cristiano Ronaldo, Xavi Alonso and veteran goal-keeper Iker Casillas, Carlo Ancelotti may very well be the man to return Real Madrid to Champions League prominence. Ancelotti's deal will keep him in Spain for at least the next 3 seasons.

While Carlo Ancelotti departs PSG for Madrid, former Bordeaux and French national manager Laurent Blanc will now take over at Paris Saint-Germain. Coaching 150 matches on the Bordeaux sideline from 2007 to 2010, the 47-year-old former sweeper led the club to 90 wins, 28 draws and 32 losses. Named the Manager of the year for his success with the club in 2007, Blanc and company took home the 2008 Ligue 1 title.

Helping France to the 1998 World Cup title as a player, Blanc became an international star and as he prepares to take over a talented PSG team, his former French teammate Christophe Dugarry told ESPN that he's confident in his friend's ability to find success with PSG, noting that the current team isn't full of power and ego.

"This story about stars' egos, it's completely stupid," Dugarry said. "Those who cause problems are fake good players, the guy who thinks he's better than he is because he's had two good games and his entourage tell him he's the new Zidane. Those who play at PSG, the Ibrahimovic's, the Thiago Silva's and the others, are guys who know the importance of dialogue and respect of the coach. Laurent won't have problems with them. PSG's players are perfectly manageable, and Laurent knows that. PSG isn't a club that's ruined by egos. There are other clubs like that, but not there."

Blanc will now be looked upon as someone who can continue the recent success of the club and as he and his new squad prepares for the upcoming season, Paris Saint-Germain fans can now feel comfortable knowing they have their next manager since he should be a perfect fit on the sideline.
