Celia Cruz is without a doubt a Latin music sensation. The late singer who passed away suddenly is now being remembered with an epic series on streaming giant Netflix.

According to The Fader, an 80-part series about the life of Celia Cruz is now available for streaming on Netflix. The series documents the life and career of the late Afro-Cuban singer.

Celia was originally broadcasted on Telemundo but now it is available to stream with English subtitles.

Directed by Victor Mallarino and Liliana Bocanegra, Celia makes history as the first Telenovela based on a celebrity to appear on Netflix.

The trailer for the series showcases Celia's ups and downs an she makes a name for herself through an internationally capacity. She rises against all the odds and has become the one artist many of your favorite Latin American musicians idolize.

Puerto Rican actress Jeimy Osorio plays the Cuban star. Last year she spoke about how important the late singer was to he rlife and Latin American history.

"She is an example of how to break through barriers of racism, how to own self-confidence … I grew up with Celia's music, the actress tells the Sun Sentinel. "I used to listen to salsa because my parents listened to salsa, and I remember singing her songs and dancing to her songs."

Celia is known for breaking down gender and race barriers by becoming a global sensation.
