Chiquis Rivera, who made her film debut in the movie "Tattooed Love” this year, has mentioned she would love to play her mother in the upcoming movie about Jenni Rivera’s life. Although “La Diva de la Banda’s” fans don’t seem too pleased about the news, the singer stated she is currently preparing and attempting to understand the acting world.

Despite the constant criticism that surrounds her, the “Completamente” performer says comments about her lack of talent only encourage her to do better, “Thanks to those people who have said I can’t sing, they have motivated me to keep going forward. My grandpa once said to me: ‘People are not born singing, you learn to sing.’”

Janney has decided to apply the same philosophy to her acting career and tells TVnotas it was her mom’s dream to see her as an actress and she won’t give up on it: “I want to be an actress, that was really the dream my mom had for me, that is the question.”

Although she didn’t reveal if she had any acting projects in the works, she shared what kind of role she would like to play: “I think a housewife, in real life I have been labeled as the villain, and I put myself there, and I’m ready to do some slapping, so I guess I could do both (protagonist and antagonist).”
