The San Antonio Spurs may be in for another rough night at the AT&T Center when they host the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday, Jan. 20.

The Spurs are coming off a win over the undermanned Brooklyn Nets, 106-98, with Kevin Durant not seeing action due to a knee injury.

Against the Clippers, they will face a team that will now have Kawhi Leonard and Paul George back.

Hence, it may take another superb performance from Keldon Johnson to help San Antonio get its second-consecutive win.

“A ton of energy, a ton of confidence, that’s who Keldon is,” San Antonio rookie forward Jeremy Sochan said. “He is great. We all trust him.”

Johnson finished with 36 points and hauled down 11 rebounds in that victory over the Nets. Sochan chipped in 16 markers while Tre Jones had 13 points.

However, head coach Gregg Popovich needs to push his charges more against the talented Clippers quintet. They own an offensive rating of 110.1, 28th in the NBA right now. They have a defensive rating of 118.8, dead last in the league.

Despite the loss, the good news is that the Clippers have their two main guns back although Los Angeles is taking a cautious approach. Both did not play against the Jazz.

Instead, it was Norman Powell who led the way with 30 points, four rebounds and three assists. Ivica Zubac added 15 points and 12 rebounds for the Clips.

“Offense ran through me tonight, so I just wanted to make the reads and the situations — whether it was to be aggressive for my shots or create for my teammates,” Powell said.

The Los Angeles Clippers hold an offensive rating of 110.2, 27th in the league right now. On the other end, they carry a defensive rating of 111.6, 9th in the NBA.

The Clippers are -6.5 spread favorites to prevail over the Spurs who are at +6.5. The Moneyline is -270 for Los Angeles and +230 for San Antonio.

The Spurs brace for the Clippers on Friday at the AT&T Center with tip-off set for 8:00 p.m. E.T. The game will be telecast via NBA League Pass with live streaming also available via fuboTV.
