Fashion has always had a large degree of relevance in the entertainment industry. Actors, musical artists and sports stars often become famous for their sense of style.

This is the case of Colombian singer J Balvin, who is not only taking reggaeton music by storm, he is also experimenting with his style and is a total fashion success.

With an interesting selection of outfits and hair colors, the "Safari" interpreter first appeared as a special guest for Chanel Pre-Fall 2017, dressed head to toe in the brand.

Now, the Council of Fashion Designers of America named him as as one of the New York Fashion Week: Men’s ambassadors.

"I’m honored and thankful to be partnering with the prestigious CFDA as one of the menswear ambassadors for fashion week," the singer said. "My love for music only matches my interest in fashion, and I'm blessed to be given an opportunity to learn about some of my favorite designers from a firsthand look at their latest collections. I look forward to sharing my behind the scenes access with my fans across the word to help push the culture forward, Let's go!"

The Council of Fashion Designers of America, Inc. (CFDA) is a not-for-profit trade association whose membership consists of more than 500 of America’s foremost womenswear, menswear, jewelry and accessory designers.

Held from January 30th to February 2nd, 2017, the upcoming edition of NYFW: Men’s will feature a mix of new and returning designers and will be held at Skylight Clarkson North and Cadillac House in west SoHo.
