Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas got trapped in an elevator Thursday for four hours before their big show at L.A. Live, giving the two former lovers some time alone. Jonas captured the ordeal on his phone and later shared it on Snapchat.
“We’ve been stuck in an elevator for four hours,” Jonas said in the video, with Lovato saying “Oh my god” from behind him. The video showed metal walls behind them as they got exhausted waiting for help. Jonas' DNCE band members, bass guitarist Cole Whittle and guitarist JinJoo Lee, were also in the elevator.
Jonas and the 24-year-old singer began dating in March 2010 and were in a relationship for just two months. The duo, who originally met on the set of their 2008 Disney Channel film "Camp Rock," continues to be friends despite their break-up.
Hours before getting stuck in the elevator, Jonas shared a photo to his Instagram while playing chess with his band.
Jonas, Lovato and the others stuck in the elevator luckily made it out in time for their concert downtown Los Angeles.
Lovato is currently busy with her Future Now Tour with co-headliner Nick Jonas and is set to wrap it up in Canada and U.S.
