Exes Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama are still cool with each other despite their past. On Sunday, April 28, Lovato and Valderrama flirted with each other while live on Instagram, sparking rumors that they’re not far from rekindling their thwarted romance.

“NCIS” star Valderrama went live on Instagram on Sunday and surprised fans when Lovato suddenly joined the fun. Although the moment was brief, their sweet exchanges made fans think that the exes might be up for something.

“Anyways, you look awesome, girl!” Valderrama told Lovato. “Thank you! So do you,” the “Cool For The Summer” singer responded.

Valderrama further added fuel to the fire when he called Lovato an “angel.” As he told his followers that he’s done with work on Wednesday, Valderrama expressed hopes of seeing Lovato again.

“See you, angel. Love you,” he told the 26-year-old singer. “I love talking to the fans like her you know what? What a sweet fan she is,” he then told his fans.

Fans of Lovato know that she and Valderrama share a long history together. They first met in 2010 and dated on and off for six long years before finally calling it quits in 2016. Despite their breakup, the two have reportedly remained friends, with Valderrama being there for Lovato during her recent rehab stay.

A source previously revealed that Valderrama has constantly been checking in on Lovato, sending her messages of support via text and visiting her personally at the rehab. How the two have managed to keep their friendship strong despite their past is a puzzle that fans are now trying to make sense of.

With Lovato and Valderrama clearly still in touch, fans are wondering if there’s a chance for the two to get back together. This is not far from possible, considering that back in late 2018, a source told US Weekly that Valderrama was one of the most valuable people in Lovato’s life.

“After her last relapse, she realized how short life can potentially be and it really resonated with her that she could lose everything at the snap of a finger,” the source said. “One of the last things that she would never ever want to lose is Wilmer,” the source added.

Lovato’s mom also previously admitted that she wanted her daughter and Valderrama to give their love another shot. “If Demi came up and said they were getting back together, I would not have a problem with that at all,” she said. Fans will know in the coming months where Lovato and Valderrama’s closeness will take them.
