Badass actor Danny Trejo will reappear in Robert Rodriguez's "From Dusk Till Dawn," but we are not talking about the movie. It has been confirmed that Trejo will have a role in the El Rey Network series with the same title.

If you remember Trejo played a tough guy bartender vampire in the "From Dusk Till Dawn" film, but will portray the Regulator on "From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series," The Regulator is described as an "agent of evil" that has been summoned to wreck havoc on the surviving heroes from season one.

Trejo and Rodriguez have a long working relationship that goes way back before the cult-classic vampire flick "From Dusk Till Dawn." Trejo had a start by training Eric Roberts to box for the film "Runaway Train," which eventually led to him to get a part in the film. Since then Trejo became infamous when Rodriguez first cast him in "Desperado," a sequel to "El Mariachi." And since then he has appeared in countless Rodriguez movies like "Once Upon a Time in Mexico," "Planet Terror," the "Spy Kids" franchise and "Machete."

Furthermore Briana Evigan of "Step Up 2 the Streets" and "Sorority Row" is also joining the series as Sonja, an American living in Mexico as a tattoo artist and a documents forger. She too will be roped into a world of vampires and evil. Trejo and Evigan join returning cast members D.J. Cotrona, Zane Holtz, Jesse Garcia, Eiza González, Wilmer Valderama, Madison Davenport and Brandon Soo Hoo.

"From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series" is a Miramax production in association with Rodriguez International Pictures, FactoryMade Ventures, and Sugarcane Entertainment.
