Elmo Goes on Insane Social Media Rant About Releasing Epstein Files After X Account Hacked

An official social media account for Sesame Street character Elmo was hacked this weekend, with the hacker making a series of explicit and violent posts through the profile belonging to the beloved children's show character.

Multiple graphic posts were made from Elmo's official X (formerly Twitter) account in which the Muppet stated that President Donald Trump's name was mentioned in files pertaining to disgraced financier and convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein.

Furthermore, the posts made various antisemitic remarks and called for violence against Jewish people.

The posts were displayed on Elmo's profile for just half an hour before being removed, but social media users quickly caught on to them and began reposting screenshots to online platforms.

"Elmo got hacked by the spirit of Adolf Hitler," joked one social media user.

"Hacking the official Elmo account gotta be one of the most diabolical things this app has ever seen," said another.

"has anyone checked on poor hacked @elmo? he always checked on us," a third said.

"Elmo's twitter account got hacked WE RIDE AT DAWN!!!!!" exclaimed a fourth.

"Elmo's X account was compromised today by an unknown hacker who posted disgusting messages, including antisemitic and racist posts. We are working to restore full control of the account," a Sesame Street spokesperson said in a statement to Newsweek.
