Based on the many rumors that are doing the rounds, a strange prediction centered around the cast of “Fast & Furious 9.” The iconic movie was apparently all set to welcome a new addition— Ben Stiller. Or so was speculated by a volley of sources. Needless to say, it sent netizens into a state of a tizzy.

The news, however, comes around at a wrong time—with barely four months left for the movie’s scheduled release, the makers’ decision to add a new character feels odd. In fact, the principle photography on “Fast& Furious 9” wrapped up in November 2019. But, the argument was that the $5 billion grosser is capable of shouldering newer characters and have them pop up unexpectedly irrespective of how stacked its core cast is.

In fact, a credible source maintained that Stiller albeit was yet to start filming for his undisclosed character, but has joined the cast nevertheless. Stiller’s representatives yet commented on the same, and as the rumors piled on, Stiller decided to take on to social media and spill the beans.

And the verdict is, well, he’s NOT going to be a part of the series. “Reports of my Fast and Furiosness are greatly exaggerated. Meaning not at all true, sadly. Though I wish them well with the franchise. Fingers crossed it takes off,” he tweeted.

The announcement, however, wasn’t well-received as “Fast & Furious” diehards expected the rumors to be true. The disappointment was evidenced in a string of comments that followed the tweet. From expressing downright disappointment and asking Stiller to ‘never say never’; fans tried to downplay the sadness through wit and intelligent humor.

The ninth sequel features Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Jordana Brewster back in the mix alongside additions like John Cena and Charlize Theron (yes, we get the excitement.) Going by trailer, the movie is likely to entail bigger stunts, mean machines, an incisive probe into dysfunctional familial relationships. The movie also marks the return of a deceased character. The movie is likely to rank high in terms of high-octane action.
