Federal authorities are looking further into its investigations to make light on the Pennsylvania woman who bragged online about selling House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s laptop to Russia after the Capitol siege.

According to court documents, Riley June Williams, 22, live-streamed her raid of Pelosi’s office on Discord with a caption that read:

“They got the laptop.”

This was followed by a series of posts from the same woman who claimed stealing the House Speaker’s hard drives and even misspelling her name.

“I stole s**t from Nancy Polesi.”

“I took Polesis hard drives. I don’t care. Kill me.”

Williams surrendered Monday night after federal authorities had obtained a warrant of arrest for her involvement during the Capitol riot, the New York Daily News said.

Authorities now have a particular cause of concern given the possibility that Williams actually has the means to carry out her purported plan to sell and send the laptop to Russia.

In a story on the Philadelphia Inquirer, agents said an affidavit filed late Sunday evening by Williams’ former romantic partner stated that he tried to contact authorities several times last week after recognizing Williams in a footage shot during the Capitol siege by the British network ITV.

He also claimed to have seen a video of Williams taking the laptop from Pelosi’s office and had bragged she intended to send it to a friend in Russia who would arrange for its transfer to the SVR, which is the Russian equivalent of the CIA.

However, that deal fell through, and according to charging documents in her case, the said laptop remains in her possession.

Williams who is employed by a home healthcare agency drove together with her father to Washington to attend the rally. However, her father maintained that they got separated during the day and had only caught up with her later that evening to drive back home to Harrisburg.

Williams is charged with knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, as well as violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.

Meanwhile, federal authorities are preparing two new felony charges of stealing government property and aiding and abetting. However, Assistant U.S. Attorney Christian T. Haugsby said those charges have not yet been approved by a judge in Washington.

Williams will remain in custody in a Harrisburg county jail until her preliminary hearing set on Thursday.
