FIFA, the organization that governs global soccer, and Global Citizen announced today, Monday, June 9, that J Balvin, Doja Cat, and Tems will be the headlining performers at the first-ever halftime show during the final of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, an event widely seen as a dress rehearsal for a similar spectacle at the FIFA World Cup for national teams in 2026.

The FIFA World Cup 2026™: A Festival of Sound

"From Medellín to MetLife, it's an honor to headline the first-ever halftime show at the FIFA Club World Cup final. This is a historic moment for me, for Latin culture, and for all the kids who dream big," said J Balvin in prepared remarks shared with the press.

The show, curated by Coldplay's Chris Martin, will take place on July 13 at MetLife Stadium in New York–New Jersey, and will be broadcast live and free to the entire world via DAZN.com.

An Unprecedented Show for a Global Tournament

The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final final will not only crown the first-ever official world champion of clubs, but it will also set a new precedent in how football is experienced globally. For the first time, a club final will include a halftime show in the style of the Super Bowl, bringing together three global superstars:

  • Colombian singer J Balvin
  • American rapper and pop icon Doja Cat
  • Nigerian artist Tems

According to a press release, Chris Martin, lead singer of Coldplay and curator of the event, "has worked closely with Global Citizen to ensure the show is unforgettable — not just artistically, but in terms of social impact."

The event aims to harness the global energy of music and football to support a pressing cause: children's education.

A show with a purpose: the FIFA-Global Citizen Education Fund

The halftime show will not only be a feast for the senses; it will also be the driving force behind a far-reaching charitable initiative. Every ticket sold for FIFA Club World Cup™ matches in the United States will donate one dollar to the FIFA-Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to raise $100 million to improve access to quality education and football for millions of children around the world.

"Together, we are going to make history on a special occasion when football and music unite the world. With every ticket sold, we are investing in children's futures through the FIFA-Global Citizen Education Fund. It will be an unforgettable spectacle, not only for its spectacular nature, but also for the lasting impact it will have," said FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

"We can't end extreme poverty without ensuring all children receive the education they deserve. The fund unites the global energy of football and music to give children a real chance at a better future," said Hugh Evans, CEO of Global Citizen.

The FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ will bring together the world's top 32 clubs across 12 stadiums in 11 US cities from June 14 to July 13. Tickets are now available at FIFA.com/tickets , and record-breaking global viewership is expected for the Grand Final and its groundbreaking halftime show.
