A man accused of flying a drone with a dildo during a campaign event punched a New Mexico sheriff running for mayor of Albuquerque.

It's the second time in recent days that the "Dongcopter" — which has its own Twitter account — has harassed a New Mexico legislator.

According to The Albuquerque Journal, Bernalillo County Sheriff Manuel Gonzales III, who was not hurt, dismissed the audacious Tuesday night act as the work of "political operators."

The incident, per the report, occurred as approximately 70 people gathered at the Revel Entertainment Center to hear the Democrat speak.

According to the article, the venue's owner confiscated a drone hooked to a sex toy flying above the stage while the candidate spoke. A 20-year-old Kaelan Ashby Dreyer attempted to reclaim it.

"Is that a dong on a drone?" a woman in the audience reportedly asked.

Dreyer reportedly launched a fist at the sheriff's arm while saying "he's a tyrant" during the fight.

"He tried to take a swing at me and he glanced across my arm," Gonzales reportedly said. "He struck me and I just took a step back. It wasn't anything I was very concerned about. I've been in a lot worse situations."

According to the story, the suspect was detained for petty misdemeanor violence and misdemeanor resisting, evading, or obstructing an officer.

The report said the candidate believes three additional persons were involved in the heinous act.

Gonzales held a press conference on Wednesday, accusing Dreyer and his associates of working for incumbent Mayor Tim Keller, a Democrat.

Keller's team reportedly denied any involvement in the act, calling it "disruptive, disrespectful, and juvenile."

"It was a coordinated effort, very intentional, and these people were trained," the candidate reportedly said.

"I was trying to answer one of the lady's questions that were with this group of four that were political operatives for somebody, I believe possibly the other campaign," Gonzales said, according to the paper.

The suspect, for his part, dismissed the charge.

Manny Gonzales tried to link Dreyer to Tim Keller or extremist communist activity, according to the Journal. He asserted that he, too, is not a fan of Tim Keller and that he considers himself a libertarian.

According to the publication, Gonzales has less than three weeks to collect enough signatures to be on the ballet.

The adult aviation equipment is seen flying near a church visited by Republican congressional candidate Mark Moores last week, according to a video released on the Twitter account "Dongcopter."

Late Wednesday night, the account's owner updated her background image to portray a drone bothering Gonzales and wrote a direct attack on the candidate.

"For the record @SheriffManny/@MannyForABQ Tim Keller sucks too (more on that later) but at least he isn't a corrupt cop trump nut who fought against police lapel cams and every other form of accountability for years. We are all dongcopter. Not you tho."
