Yes, it's true.  “Among Us” is blowing up the world wide web -- Pornhub, to be precise. Earlier last month, the premier adult entertainment website cited in its insights that "Super Mario" was one of the most popular gaming searches on the site, with terms reportedly spiking to a whopping 142% around the time of the game’s 35th anniversary.

It was further reported that  “Searches containing 'Among Us' began picking up around September 1st and reached their peak on September 16th, with nearly 700,000 searches in a single day! Since September, there have been 4.7 million searches!”

While “Among Us” has been around for quite a while, it wasn’t up until this year that this space-themed game amassed mammoth popularity. Turns out, popular Twitch streamers and YouTubers have a lot to do with it. So much so, the obsession has spilled on to the porn searches. This is probably why (or so reasons Pornhub) the gaming site Kotaku reportedly approached them to check up on whether the craze seeped into the premier adult website too.

“Searches containing ‘Among Us’ began picking up around September 1st and reached their peak on September 16th, with nearly 700,000 searches in a single day! Since September, there have been 4.7 million searches!” stated Pornhub, as per a media outlet, further adding, “With average daily searches of 115,000, ‘Among Us’ currently rivals Pornhub’s most searched games such as Fortnite.”

And well, while Twitterati agreed in unison, many were aghast at the statistics.
