Model Georgina Rodriguez, long time partner of football star Cristiano Ronaldo, saw many ups and downs in 2022, and now she has opened up on what has been "the most complicated" year of her life.
The birth of her son was supposed to be the "happiest moment" of the year, but it "became the saddest" after the 28-year-old tragically lost the little one, reported The Sun. She was expecting twins with her 37-year-old partner in April, but lost the child during childbirth. Her baby girl Bella Esmeralda lived, but she fell ill just three months later and had to be hospitalized. It caused more stress to to the Ronaldo family.
In an interview with Elle Spain for its January cover, she said that 2022 has been the "most complicated of my life, the happiest moment became both the saddest." She shared that it is something that will accompany her for life and that they "will not be able to forget." She and Ronaldo also share a daughter Alana, 4. Her partner also has a son Cristiano Jr, 12, and twins Eva and Mateo, 5, who were born via surrogate mothers, according to Daily Mail.
For Rodriguez, her family is her life and she wants to be as present as possible to watch her family grow. She said that her children are the most important thing she has and every step she takes is "marked by them." The Argentine called herself an "omnipresent mother in its evolution," and that sometimes they call her heavy, but she doesn't want to miss anything. She also opened up on her relationship with Ronaldo, saying that being with him has allowed her to fulfil many of her dreams. But she insisted that she had the same drive and hunger before the fame and the money.
Ronaldo had a difficult time at Manchester United this season and Portugal's early World Cup exit, but his partner insisted that he is the best in the world. She said that she and the star "fell in love at first sight, when I saw him for the first time I felt that time stopped." She had never seen a "man so handsome, so attentive... he is the most handsome man my eyes have ever seen." She also said that she is the girlfriend of the "best soccer player in the world, but it is not necessary for people, and many of them women, to use it in a derogatory way."
