After a month of tasty spy shots and videos, the first detailed images of the upcoming Aston Martin sports car has hit the web.

Quietly rolled out at the 2012 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, Aston Martin later fielded the lightly camouflaged test car in near-production form for shakedown tests on public roads. Passersbys with a keen eye noticed the return of the iconic Vanquish badge adorned on the trunk of the prototype.

Slated to serve as the next Aston Martin flagship, the new model will be known as the Aston Martin AM 310 Vanquish.

According to GTSpirit, the new Vanquish will be available in a 2+0 or optional 2+2 seating configuration. Based upon the new generation bonded aluminum and carbon fiber VH structure, the body is also made of aluminium, magnesium, and carbon fiber. Thanks to its advanced construction, torsional rigidity will be 25 percent stronger than its predecessor. What's more, the front chassis structure claims to be a full 13 percent lighter than the DBS.

The most important figure of all, the all-alloy 6-liter V12 engine will produce a power output of 573hp at 6,750rpm and a max 620 Newton-meters of torque at 5,500rpm. A sprint from 0-to-100km/h takes only 4.1 seconds, and the V12 can motivate the Vanquish all the way to its top speed of 295km/h. However, as initial rumors suggested a power output exceeding 600-hp, perhaps Aston Martin is underrating its flagship's potential.

The AM 310 Vanquish will be introduced in line with Aston Martin's centenary milestone. Sporting a powerful V12 engine and an aggressive yet classic gentleman GT sheetmetal, we can't think of a better way to celebrate the heritage of the legendary British marque. Oh, and did we mention that all this wonderful British magnificence is available in brown?

UPDATE: Inside line has reported that the 2014 Aston Martin AM 310 Vanquish will go on sale in the US Market starting 2013. Prices start at $279,995.
